Beginner Stuff
Deep Water Start
Before you get into the water fit the kneeboard on yourself but leave it loose. When in the water lie on your stomach with the strap position in front of you. When the boat starts to gain speed wait until you are in the center of the boats wake before you start to pull yourself up to allow for an easier ride. Start to pull yourself up. *Note: I find it easier to put my elbows in the knee cups on the kneeboard. Once you get yourself up about a quarter of the way there will be a point where you will have to do one quick pull to get your knees onto the board. Once your there you have to wiggle your way up to the front of the board and pull the strap over your knees. Then your up. *Note: try to get your feet out of the water as soon as possible as they interfere with the sturdiness of the board.

Side Slide (surface trick)
This is a very easy trick. Get into the middle of the wake and lean back and turn either to the left or the right. All you do in this trick is go from the left wake to the right wake and opposite. If you want to make it look better you can let go with one hand. *Note: be careful not to lean back to far, too hard because you will wipe out.

Front to Front 360 (surface trick)
Position yourself directly behind the boat. Using the palms down grip start to spin to the left and as you do let go with your left hand. As you reach the 180 degree point of the rotation grab the rope with your left hand and let go with your right while leaning forward a bit. Continue the rotation and as you come back around to your starting point grab the rope with your right hand. This trick can also be done the opposite way but with everything reversed.

Intermediate Tricks
The Wake Jump
Go outside of the wake and using the baseball grip make a cut towards the wake. When you are about to hit the wake stop cutting and as you reach the middle of the wake push your knees out away from your chest. As you rise up into the air keep the tip of your board up above the back and also keep the rope tight. *Note: you can achieve more air if you rock forward and then back when you hit the wake.

Wake Front to Back
Using the palms down grip make a hard cut towards the wake. As you reach the wake stop cutting and use either of the ways to get big air. As you rise up into the air turn your body to the right while keeping the handle tight to your hip. As you complete the 180 rotation, make sure to lean forward slightly. *Note: Not having the handle pulled tight to your hip will cause the boat to pull your tail end down.
Wake Front to Front 360
Using what I call a right sided grip make a hard cut into the right side wake. When you reach the wake stop cutting and then quickly rock forward and then back. When you pop up into the air start to turn to the left and as you do release the handle with your right hand. Keep the handle tucked close to your hip as you turn, your left arm will help you pull yourself around. When you reach the 360 point grab hold of the rope with your right hand. From their it's smooth sailing to the landing. The right sided grip is where you hold the rope with your right hand, and put your left hand behind your back and grab the rope so that you have a palms down grip. *Note: this trick can also be done with the palms down grib but it's harder.
Wake 360 Back to Back
Make a hard cut towards the wake. When you are about 4 feet from the wake do a 180 so that you are riding backwards into the wake. When you hit the tip of the wake pop up by using one of the methods that have been previously suggested. Once you are in the air, start twisting your body around, starting with your head. Release the rope with your right hand. As you complete a 180, grab the rope back with your right hand and release with your left. When you complete the 360 grab the rope back with your left hand. When you have accomplished the 360 and begin your landing try to keep the back of the board above the tip as it wil help you with the landing. *Note: When doing this trick, try to keep the rope tight to your hip
Advanced Tricks
Wake Back Flip
Using the baseball grip, make a hard cut towards the wake. Right before you hit the wake, stop cutting and as you hit the wake pop up by either rocking forward and back or by pushing your knees away from your chest. While you do this pull the handle into your right hip. As you start getting air, let go of the handle with your left hand and throw your head backwards while moving your knees into your chest. When you are upside down make sure to keep a pull on the rope and your knees tight to your chest. When you complete the full rotation make sure to keep the nose of the board above the tail. Grab hold of the handle again with your left hand and keep a pull on the rope as you hit the water.
Wake Front Roll Left
Using the baseball grip make a hard cut towards the wake. Just before you hit the wake stop cutting and rock forwards and then backwards while at the same time push your knees away from your chest. As you reach the top of the wake, throw your torsoe forward while pushing your left shoulder towards the water. While you turn your right hip away from the boat, turn your head to the right. When you are spinning upside down keep a pull on the handle and pull your knees into your chest. When you land make sure that the tip of the board is higher than the tail.
